[A.N*geL*$] ...since young ... i'd dream of angels ... with wings ... and i'd always tell mommy that i wanted to be an angel cos i wanted to fly ... but ... now ... having had 17 years of experience living on this earth ... i know that this was only part of my innocent childhood ...
i seem to have the habit of thinking when i'm alone ... about things ... my life and all ... so ... as i was thinking about my faith ... my life ... thoughts came flowing into my mind like a river of great magnitude ...
funny how we would always want more and not be thankful for all that we already have ... funny how we would compare ourselves with others and not with our best ... our human nature is the core of our sinning ... but our spirit is God living in us ... many of us who believe constantly have a battle going on in our lives ... it may not be with satan ... because our human nature is already strong enough to bring us down if we are not strong in our faith ... or if we are not careful ... this battle rages on each day ... the battle of our human nature and God's spirit within us ...
i was thinking ... how this battle is actually very important in our lives ... and yet ... somehow ... we get carried away by the things happening around us ... that this battle somehow suddenly 'disappears' when it's actually still ongoing ... as Christians, our every thought, word, actions is a testimony of God in our lives ... we are His messengers ... whether we know it all not ...
the sad thing is that people have nothing against our faith ... but it's because of us ... that they do not believe ... our actions contradict our believe ... our words contradict our believe ... what we are doing is not what we should be doing and what we ought to be doing is not what we're doing ...
being a christian was never meant to be easy ... like they all say ... being bad is not difficult at all ... it's being good and abiding by rules that is more difficult ... and being a christian ... there are commandments to abide ... but the most important one of all ... is to LOVE ...
LOVE ...1 Corinthians 13 : if i speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, i am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
2 if i have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if i have a faith tah tcan move mountains, but have not love, i am nothing. 3 if i give all i possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, i gain nothing.4 Love is patient, love is kind. it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 it is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 it always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres.... ...
13 and now these three remain: faith, hope and love. BUT THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE.my prayer this year ... is to be able to love the way christ did ... in all i do ... may i do it with the love of Christ ... for His love leads to graciousness ... to peace ... to faith ... to joy and to hope ... that's why the greatest is love ... for love in God and from God leads to many good things ...
to me love is very important ... if you love someone ... tell them that you love them ... you'll never know what might happen next ... and you do not want to regret not saying these 3 simple words ...
to my dearest : Della , Dora , Nora , Sam ... the 4 of you have played the most major role in my life ... as my sisters and my confidante ... you guys know me inside out ... my likes and dislikes and have shared in my joy and sorrow ... i've known you guys for more than half my life and will know you for more than half my life ... i love you guys forever ...
to my dearest : ken li , wan ching , cassy , jasmine ... although the time spent with you guys are short compared to the previous group of people ... the bond that i've formed with you guys are ever so strong ... you guys have evidently made a difference in my life and you guys are like sisters to me too ... you know my thoughts and everything that i'm going through ... i'm glad that i knew you guys ... and i love you too ...
to my dearest : andre and joel ... haha ... you guys ... are like my best friends ... you've given me support and taken good care of me all this while ... yup ... thank you for all your company and love and care ... God has blessed me with brothers like you !!! and i thank God for that ... i love you guys so much ... continue to grow in God ... with His love ever so strong in you lives ...
to my cell group : thank you for the support , prayers , care , humour , love and food ... haha ... God has placed me in this cell for a reason and i thank God for that ... you guys are great and have been blessings in my life ... i love you guys ... be happy always ...
to everyone : thank you for being a part of my life ... everyone of you have left a footprint in my heart ... i'll always remember you ... it's my prayer that in all you do ... God's love will be with you ... may you find the joy that i've found in God ... and may life be full of pleasant surprises for you ... love you guys ...
